Milk & Honey joins Mangrove Global
By Georgie CollinsIsrael’s first single malt whisky distillery, Milk & Honey, has joined the Mangrove Global World Whisky portfolio.

Milk & Honey was founded in 2013 by Gal Kalkshtein under the expert guidance of the late Dr Jim Swan.
The casks used in the maturation of the brand’s whiskies have been selected specifically for imparting the unique terroir of Israel into the single malts.
Furthermore, Israel’s geographical diversity and climate is said to expedite the ageing process of the whiskies.
Chris Pollard, head of sales for Mangrove Global, commented: “Having [Milk & Honey] join our portfolio is something we are incredibly proud to shout about, and this partnership is just another step on our mission to bring together the best and most exciting premium spirits portfolio in the market.
“The Milk & Honey distillery is the perfect example of exciting innovation leading to exceptional liquid happening across the world at the moment. We firmly believe that Milk & Honey will continue to thrive in the coming years as the whisky drinker changes to a younger profile, looking for more experimental drams with unique flavour profiles and a real sense of place.”
Kalkshtein added: “We at the Milk & Honey distillery produce our whisky to the highest standards, and with a creative mindset that tries to challenge the traditional industry by constantly leveraging the Israeli climate and temperament in the world.
“When we just started, people thought we were trying to do the impossible. Today, we put Israel on the map, and for us this is only the beginning. Thanks to our amazing team, we discovered that everything is possible.
“We are very excited to start working with Mangrove Global, our new partner in the UK, and we look forward to sharing our future releases with whisky lovers in the UK.”
The Mangrove Global portfolio will include the Milk & Honey Classic single malt whisky and The Elements Series, a trilogy of cask-matured single malts.
In addition, Mangrove will distribute the rare and highly sought-after limited editions within the Milk & Honey Apex Series, which includes the Apex Dead Sea, the first single malt whisky to be aged in the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea, maturing at approximately 423 metres below sea level.
Mangrove will also distribute Apex Pomegranate wine cask, the first and only single malt in the world to be fully matured in pomegranate wine casks.
