Label 5 partners with German distributor
By Alice BrookerBlended Scotch whisky brand Label 5 has appointed Bimmerle as its new distribution partner in Germany.
Label 5 is owned by French spirits group La Martiniquaise-Bardinet. It is available in more than 100 countries.
Bimmerle will look after the distribution of the Label 5 Classic Black expression.
“We are pleased to have found a new, internationally active partner in La Martiniquaise. The cooperation is based on great trust and a joint plan for the future,” said Nicolai Benz, chief executive officer of sales at Bimmerle.
Last year, the Scotch whisky brand teamed up with Upfest, organiser of Europe’s largest street art festival, for a graffiti-themed activation.
Founded in 1966 by Günter Bimmerle, the Bimmerle is a family-owned business. Its portfolio includes the brand Lörch, which is a fruit schnapps.
In June this year, The Spirits Business published The Brand Champions report, which analyses the world’s million-case-selling spirits brands. From this, SB put together a list of the top 10 best-selling Scotch whisky brands in the world. Label 5 was among the biggest brands.
