Jameson Caskmates rolls out to the US

Irish Distillers has extended distribution of Jameson Caskmates – an Irish whiskey aged in stout-seasoned barrels – to the US.

Jameson Caskmates Irish whiskey is now available in the US

The expression was first created in 2013 when Jameson teamed up with Irish microbrewery Franciscan Well, located in Cork, to see what effect used oak whiskey barrels from the Midleton distillery would have on stout beer.

Afterwards, the now stout-seasoned barrels were returned to the distillery and refilled with Jameson Original to create Jameson Caskmates, which is said to have the triple-distilled “smoothness” of Jameson with added notes of coffee, cocoa and hops.

“Imagined from a conversation in a neighbourhood pub, Jameson Caskmates is a product of shared passion for craft, quality and collaboration,” said Sona Bajaria, director, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Pernod Ricard USA.

“We’re excited to continue our close relationships with craft brewers in both Ireland and the US and share the first-to-market Irish whiskey from Jameson with neighbourhoods around the country.”

Jameson Caskmates is available in select retailers throughout the US at an RRP of US$29.99.
