Bacardi GTR launches Aultmore in Asia travel retail

Bacardi Global Travel Retail (GTR) has launched Aultmore, the Speyside single malt, into Asia travel retail with an in-store shopper engagement at Singapore Changi airport.

The activation takes place with DFS Group at Terminal 2 arrivals and departures stores until the end of August, with the Aultmore presented as the lead brand within the John Dewar & Sons Fine Whisky Emporium range.

At the centre of the activity is signature serve Aultmore Foggie Moss, inspired by the secluded surroundings of the distillery. Sampling takes place against a backdrop of humidified air and moss in an attempt to recreate the whisky’s home environment.

Irving Holmes Wong, regional director, Bacardi GTR said: “We’re delighted to launch Aultmore into Asia via travel retail. This is an exceptional single malt with a delicate flavour profile we know will be enjoyed by Asian malt lovers and collectors.

“Its rarity and great heritage play to the purchase motivations of shoppers at the second stage of luxury who are seeking to discover something new and outside the mainstream. The Bacardi single malts strategy is driving category growth and, with Aultmore under the halo of Dewar’s as the world’s most awarded blended scotch, we are confident of further acceleration.”

Aultmore is available with DFS in three age statement expressions: 12, 18 and a travel retail exclusive 21 year old. It can also be found at DFS in-store tasting bars.

The Aultmore distillery was founded in 1897. In addition to its single malt releases, the whisky is also a feature malt in several blends, including Dewar’s.
