Tomatin releases 36 Year Old Scotch whisky

The Tomatin Distillery has released the first batch of a 36-year-old whisky, the latest addition to its range of Tomatin Highland Single Malt Scotch.

The Scotch has been bottled at its natural cask strength and retains its natural colour

Tomatin 36 Year Old is aged in a combination of former Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks, and is limited to just 800 bottles.

Described as “smooth and creamy” and “woody and malty” with a hint of “cloves and cardamom”, the Scotch is non-chill-filtered and has been bottled at its natural cask strength of 46% abv.

Each bottle is individually numbered and comes packaged in a wooden box with a certificate.

Stephen Bremner, sales director, said: “We are in a unique position to be able to offer a product of this age on an ongoing basis.

“Following the withdrawal of our renowned 30-year-old expression, we expect this new 36-year-old to be a welcome addition for stockists, and indeed drinkers, of Tomatin single malt.”
The 36 Year Old expression will be available at an RRP of £499.99.

Earlier this year the distillery added a new cask strength variant to its core single malt range and a virgin oak Scotch whisky to its Cù Bòcan brand.
