Gordon & MacPhail has expanded its Benromach single malt Scotch whisky portfolio with the launch of a new 15-year-old expression.

Gordon & MacPhail has launched Benromach 15 Years Old

Benromach 15 Years Old has been matured in both Sherry and Bourbon casks to give a “soft smokiness”.

The new release is also said to taste of rich fruitcake, stewed plums with a hint of cocoa and is packaged in the same style as its 10 Years Old counterpart with an added gold effect to “highlight the premium nature of the product”.

“The Benromach story is a remarkable one, and the launch of the 15 Years Old marks a significant milestone in the distillery’s history,” said Ewen Mackintosh, chief operating officer of Gordon & MacPhail.

“The whisky has a great deal of character and we hope it will appeal to whisky lovers who have tried other Benromach single malts and to those who would like to see what a classic pre-1960s Speyside malt is like.”

Bottled at 43% abv, Benromach 15 Years old is available for an RRP of £48.99.
