Ganesh Gas Inc, a Mobil Mart store at 116 North Route 303 in West Nyack, was handed a $10,000 gine by the New York State Liquor Authority board for selling alcohol to a person under 18-years-old on 30 January this year.

It was the third time within 12 months that the store had been caught selling alcohol to minors, which also landed the store an US$8,000 fine in June 2014, according to the State Liquor Authority’s meeting agenda, as reported by Iohud.

The second store, Beechmont Tavern at 750 North Avenue in New Rochelle was ordered to pay US$7,500 for failing to comply with local regulations and selling alcohol to an underage customer on 12 April 2014.

In November last year, a restaurant in Colorado Springs, US, mistakenly served alcohol to a table full of children, the youngest of whom was just two-years-old.

Meanwhile in the UK, children as young as 11-years-old have been caught drink driving according to police records.
