Vegas distillery creates Nevada’s first Bourbon
The Las Vegas Distillery has launched what it claims is the first straight Bourbon created in Nevada, called Nevada 150.
Recently launched Nevada 150 is Nevada’s first Bourbon brand
Unveiled as part of Nevada’s Sesquicentennial, the 150th anniversary of the state’s admission to the union, Nevada 150 is distilled and bottled by The Las Vegas Distillery using 60% Nevada yellow corn, 20% Nevada wheat, 16% malted barley and 4% rye.
The Bourbon, which carries an RRP of US$100, has been aged for two years in American white oak barrels.
“This gives us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate our community, and our way of life here in Nevada,” said the distillery.
“As a family and a small local business we would like to thank you for your support and help to get to this unforgettable unique moment in our Distillery’s life.”
The distillery has created 2,014 individually number bottles of Nevada 150, the first of which will be auctioned at charity.
Nevada 150 Straight Bourbon Whiskey was officially launched on Bourbon Day at The Las Vegas Distillery over the weekend.
