Beefeater unveils visitors’ centre exclusive gin

Beefeater gin has launched a new bottling inspired by an iconic London garden to celebrate the opening of its new visitors’ centre.

Beefeater gin has launched a new garden-inspired gin to be exclusively sold at its new visitors’ centre

Said to have taken inspiration from the London Chelsea Physic Garden, Beefeater London Garden gin combines lemon verbena and thyme with signature citrus notes from the original gin.

It will be available exclusively at the distillery’s new visitors’ centre – Beefeater London: The Home of Gin – which upon opening to the public on 22 May will be London’s first dedicated gin distillery visitors’ centre.

London Chelsea Physic Gardens is located around the corner from the original distillery owned by Beefeater founder James Burrough.

“I’ve often been drawn to these wonderful gardens for inspiration, and this exclusive edition is the outcome of a few indulgent taste experiments,” said Beefeater master distiller Desmond Payne.

“I’d like to think that Mr. Burrough would have approved.”

Visitors to the distillery will have the opportunity to see the Chivas Brothers-owned brand in production and learn about the history of London dry gin.

They will also be offered a series of interactive showcases, enabling them to see, touch and smell the botanicals used within the production process, finishing with the chance to watch the live gin production process in the distillery’s still house.

“We are delighted to be opening the doors to the Beefeater distillery and we look forward to welcoming gin fans from across the city, the country – and indeed the world – to our home here in Kennington,” Payne added.

“Beefeater London: The Home of Gin is testament to our commitment to enabling gin enthusiasts to learn more about the craftsmanship and provenance of our gins and we are proud to be the only historic London gin distillery to be providing the full story of the capital’s 300 year history of gin.”

Beefeater London Garden gin retails for £22.50 exclusively from Beefeater London: The Home of Gin. Tickets go on sale today at www.beefeaterdistillery.com priced £12.
