Whistlefish creates floral bottle for Tarquin’s
By Lauren BowesCornwall’s Tarquin’s Gin has partnered with greetings card brand Whistlefish to create a limited edition collection.

Whistlefish is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, with the Tarquin’s collaboration 10 months in the making.
The collection features a limited edition bottle of Tarquin’s featuring an original floral illustration created by Whistlefish. The floral design is said to reflect Tarquin’s use of hand-picked violets as a botanical.
The bottle is accompanied by a merch range, including an A5 notepad, an A6 postcard and an A4 framed art print.
The gin brand’s founder Tarquin Leadbetter said: “The idea was not born in a boardroom. It came from a simple observation in Tarquin’s Padstow Gin Shop: almost every customer walking through the door was carrying a Whistlefish bag. No consumer research. No focus groups. No expensive questionnaires. Just undeniable evidence, repeated day after day, that Tarquin’s shoppers and Whistlefish shoppers are the same people.
“Whistlefish and Tarquin’s are both independent, both built on craft, and both deeply Cornish. When we sat down together, we realised that this was not just a nice story. It was a genuine commercial opportunity: putting a handcrafted Cornish gin in front of Whistlefish’s audience, and Whistlefish artwork in front of ours.”

The range is available from Tarquin’s and Whistlefish’s online shops, as well as Tarquin’s retail stores in Cornwall and Devon.
The bottle retails for £40 (US$53), with the merch ranging from £1 to £45 (US$1-US$60).
The Cornish gin brand recently debuted two limited edition flavours for summer: Cornish Apple & Elderflower, and Chilli Mango.
