Tarquin’s looks to hedgerows for limited gin flavour
By Miona MadsenCornish producer Tarquin’s Spirits’ second limited edition gin for summer 2026 was selected by UK gin lovers through a public vote.

Tarquin’s Cornish Apple & Elderflower Gin is the latest creation by Tarquin Leadbetter, founder and master distiller of Tarquin’s Spirits.
This second limited release of summer 2026 follows the launch of a chilli and mango-flavoured gin last month.
Both summer flavours were chosen by thousands of fans who had the chance to vote in a nationwide poll earlier this year.
Inspired by the Cornish hedgerows, orchards, and coastal meadows, ‘garden-fresh’ Apple & Elderflower Gin came second in the public vote.
“We’re not a traditional distillery. We are an innovation engine,” Leadbetter explained. “Because we make everything in small batches ourselves, we can move fast. We can go from an idea to a bottle in 12 weeks. We test, we learn, and we only scale the winners.
“The Apple & Elderflower came straight from our community. They told us what they wanted, and we made it happen.”
The limited edition gin infuses crisp Cornish apples and delicate elderflower blossom to create an expression that celebrates Cornwall’s natural larder at its ‘seasonal best’.
Bottled at 38% ABV, the gin offers notes of apples and elderflower, with a touch of juniper on the palate. It is best served as a refreshing Spritz with sparkling apple juice and tonic water.
Leadbetter continued: “Cornwall is our greatest inspiration. The hedgerows are bursting with elderflower, the orchards are full of promise. This gin is what Cornwall tastes like in summer.”
Tarquin’s Cornish Apple & Elderflower Gin is available for a limited time on the brand’s website, as well as in Tarquin’s Gin Shops located in Cornwall and Devon, and at select independent retailers. The RRP for a 700ml bottle is £39.95 (US$46.50).
Last month, Tarquin’s vodka brand, Connie Glaze, launched a liqueur inspired by the Passion Fruit Martini.
