El Rayo expands RTD range

London-based El Rayo has added a pre-mixed Tequila, lime and soda to its ready-to-drink (RTD) lineup.

The RTD follows the brand’s first, Tequila Tonic & Grapefruit, which launched in April 2025.

The new canned product combines El Rayo Plata Tequila with sparkling artisanal soda and fresh Mexican lime.

The launch is part of the brand’s mission to get Tequila ‘in a long glass, not a shot glass’. It recommends enjoying the serve chilled and straight from the can.

Tom Bishop, the brand’s CEO, said: “We’ve spent years proving Tequila is better served long – and the response to our Tequila Tonic RTD showed that drinkers agree.

“The Tequila Lime & Soda is the natural next step – a refreshing, citrusy serve, ready to drink, wherever you are. Between the two, there’s now an El Rayo for every occasion.”

El Rayo Tequila Lime & Soda sits at 6% ABV and has an RRP of £3.75 (US$5) for a 250ml can.

As with the Grapefruit version, the RTD’s artwork was designed by Mario Higinio, El Rayo’s in-house artist based in Guadalajara.

Both RTDs are available from Whole Foods Market and the brand’s website. The Tequila Lime & Soda is also available via Zapp.

Last month, El Rayo collaborated with artist Alice Isaac on an out-of-home campaign that brought human-led creative expression to the fore.
