Angostura secures new UK retail listings
By Joe RogersTrinidadian brand Angostura has expanded its UK grocery presence for its Orange Bitters with listings in Marks & Spencer (M&S) and Sainsbury’s.

The new listings add to availability in Waitrose locations across the UK, which The House of Angostura says reflects a broader shift in consumer behaviour, with a growing appetite among shoppers to bring the same quality and creativity found behind the bar into their own homes.
The brand has also announced plans for further expansion in 2026.
Leesha Alexander, international commercial manager at Angostura, said: “Bartenders have long understood the power of bitters. Like salt and pepper in the kitchen, a few dashes can lift, balance and complete a drink.
“Angostura Orange Bitters brings that same flavour tool into the home bar. It is easy to use, incredibly versatile and crafted with the quality people expect from Angostura. Making it available in M&S and Sainsbury’s means more consumers can discover how one small ingredient can make a drink or dish feel complete.”
As well as its traditional use as a cocktail ingredient, Angostura is encouraging the use of its Orange Bitters in no-and-low alcohol drinks, marinades and desserts.
Founded in Venezuela in 1830 by German doctor Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert, the Angostura company moved production to Trinidad and Tobago in 1876.
In addition to its Angostura Aromatic Bitters and Orange Bitters, the brand also produces a range of rums and Amaro di Angostura.
Earlier this year, The House of Angostura grew its portfolio with the addition of a demerara sugar syrup and a spicy honey syrup intended for use in cocktails.
This followed a brand refresh for the full range of Angostura rums, which included a sustainability-focused update to its bottles and packaging.
