Lawrenny single malt lands in Taiwan
By Miona MadsenTasmanian producer Lawrenny Estate Distillery has partnered with Castlerox to launch its single malt whiskies in Taiwan.

The distribution deal is part of Lawrenny’s ongoing expansion across the Asia-Pacific region, with ambitions to expand presence to Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.
According to Castlerox, the demand for Tasmanian single malt in Taiwan is growing, with strong interest from premium spirits drinkers.
Lawrenny utilises barley grown on the estate and water sourced directly from a freshwater river that flows just meters away from the distillery. This approach to using natural resources has reportedly received positive feedback from both trade and retail consumers across the Asia-Pacific region.
The distillery’s portfolio includes a range of single malts, including Lawrenny Homestead, aged in Bourbon, Port and Sherry casks, and River Mist, a peated whisky matured in Sylvain Signature virgin French oak barrels.
In addition to whisky, the distillery also produces a range of gins, vodkas, liqueurs, and ready-to-drink cocktails.
Jensen Farley, co-founder of Lawrenny Estate Distillery, commented: “We have been growing our presence over the past four years through continued participation in major festivals and events.
“Lawrenny has built its presence through consistent participation in major festivals and trade events, establishing the brand with on-premise outlets and independent retailers before attracting interest from national accounts.”
Lawrenny Estate Distillery was established in 2017 and released its first whisky in 2020.
