Motel Mezcal refocuses distribution in Singapore
Oaxacan brand Motel Mezcal has appointed Cool Potions as its exclusive importer and distributor in Singapore.
Under the new agreement, Cool Potions will represent Motel Mezcal in Singapore, further enhancing the brand’s presence in the Asian market following its launch in 2025.
Co-founded by third-generation mezcalero Daniel López, Motel Mezcal is produced in Oaxaca and owned in partnership with its producers.
The artisanal mezcal is produced from 100% Espadín agave using traditional methods, including underground roasting, natural fermentation, and slow distillation.
López commented: “For us, mezcal is about respect for the land, for the agave, and for the traditions that have been passed down through generations. We are proud to see Motel Mezcal continue its journey in Singapore with a partner that understands the care and story behind what we make.
“Everything we do is grounded in traditional production and in the character of the agave itself. It is important to us that as the brand grows internationally, it continues to represent the people, process and place behind every bottle.”
The appointment comes as Motel Mezcal continues to expand its footprint across the Asia Pacific.
The brand has gained popularity for its fruit-forward flavour profile, which is said to appeal to both seasoned agave enthusiasts and newcomers to the mezcal category.
At The Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2026, Motel Mezcal took home a Gold medal in the 100% Agave Mezcal Joven Espadín category.
In January, the brand launched an experimental Mezcalito Mirage takeover series inspired by the decadence of 1980s Miami and the neon-tropical glamour of 1970s New York nightclubs.
