Laki Kane offers 5,000 free cocktails to mark new opening

Tropical bar Laki Kane is celebrating the opening of its new bar in central London by offering 5,000 free cocktails throughout April.

Laki Kane is known for its theatrical cocktail programme

First opened by hospitality entrepreneur Georgi Radev in 2018, Laki Kane has built a loyal following for its experiential approach to cocktails, bold interiors and engaging guest experiences.

The bar’s Islington outpost closed in August last year, not long after it received a venue refresh.

The opening marks the beginning of the venue’s new chapter under The Breakfast Group, the hospitality team behind London venues such as Lucy Wong, 68 & Shanghai, and Opium China Town. Its new location is within the group’s Burlock Rum Room site on Oxford Street.

The new site opens today (2 April) and offers the bar’s signature rum-led cocktails, vibrant interiors and late-night energy.

Boasting a 3am license, dance floor, and club-focused atmosphere, the new venue aims to bring a fresh, playful energy to central London’s nightlife.

The Oxford Street launch sees the return of Laki Kane’s signature immersive programming, including its Spirit of Tiki Brunch, rum tasting experiences, rum-making workshops, and cocktail masterclasses.

To celebrate the opening, guests visiting the tiki-themed bar this month can claim a complimentary cocktail by saying the secret password: ‘Get Lucky at Laki’.

Running from 6-30 April, the offer is available Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm only.

The venue is also introducing a new Thai-inspired food menu, marking a return to the flavours that first made Laki Kane a favourite at its original Islington site.

Diners can win their meal for free via a custom in-house slot machine. Other prizes include Teremana Margarita shots or cocktails.
