ProWein 2026: bigger and wider perspectives
By Miona MadsenProWein Düsseldorf will return from 15 to 17 March 2026, with a broader range of spirits through its ProSpirits zone, including dynamic showcases, an educational area and, for the first time, a dedicated alcohol-free Zero Tasting Bar.

Each year, trade professionals descend on the German city of Düsseldorf to explore the latest trends and products, discover wines and spirits, and make valuable connections. This year, the three-day international trade fair at Messe Düsseldorf will feature more space dedicated to spirits and non-alcoholic alternatives than ever before.
ProSpirits returns to the Rhine riverside for its third year, and is expected to gather brands showcasing their visions and new products from more than 50 countries.
For 2026, the spirits-dedicated area has expanded from one hall to cover Halls 5 and 7. The expansion aims to provide visitors with a clearly structured, dynamic environment that not only aids navigation but also encourages exploration. To further help navigate key trends and developments in the category, spirits expert Jürgen Deibel is available to conduct guided orientations twice daily.
Visitors to the exhibition can expect to find a variety of spirits, including tropical-aged whiskies, innovative gins, modern interpretations of rum, baijiu from China, and notable selections from India.
At its core, ProSpirits offers a compact world tour in a glass, making it perfect for those who want to compare and taste new and classic spirits, as well as ready-to-drink cocktails while engaging in meaningful conversations.
Engage the trade
As a new feature this year, ProSpirits will also include a zero-alcohol section – the Zero Tasting Bar – to meet the growing demand for alcohol-free alternatives. The initiative will highlight how non-alcoholic and reduced-alcohol spirits are being developed today, showcasing modern and relevant options driven by genuine innovation.

According to Melita Kiely, editor-in-chief of The Spirits Business, the setting “creates invaluable opportunities to network, learn and enjoy a drink among the hustle and bustle of meetings throughout the trade fair”.
She says: “We were thrilled to be able to introduce The Spirits Business Hub for the first time at ProSpirits 2025 – and we can’t wait to return for a second edition in 2026. As the world’s leading trade magazine dedicated to spirits, we wanted to curate a programme that was thought-provoking, educational, and interesting for guests and exhibitors alike.”
Kiely adds: “Our plans for 2026 are already under way, and we’ll be revealing more details in due course. But guests can be assured to expect further top-tier drinks, panel discussions, interviews and insights into the fascinating world of spirits when The Spirits Business Hub returns to Düsseldorf in March.”
Motto redefined
ProSpirits 2026 unites the international spirits community, offering accessibility, inspiration, and new opportunities for trade, gastronomy, and media. To reflect the industry’s future, the trade fair has introduced a new campaign motto to motivate the sector.
Frank Schindler, director of ProWein Düsseldorf, highlights the importance of unity and innovation in the drinks industry: “Shape, Create, Elevate are the three buzzwords we aim to align our future actions and decisions with. So, the motto for ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 will be ‘Cultivate the visionary in you’. We want to encourage the sector to embrace the future in a determined, creative and forward-looking way. As the leading international trade fair, we will allow appropriate space for innovations and make sure to generate sustainable business.”
From 15 to 17 March, ProWein Düsseldorf and ProSpirits invite trade professionals to ‘Cultivate the visionary in you’ by securing tickets now and helping shape the future of the spirits industry.
Tickets are now available at www.prowein.com, starting at €20 (US$24/£18) per person.
