Science + Industry creates Fairtrade cocktail menu
Manchester cocktail bar Science + Industry has partnered with independent spirits producer Fair to create a menu of Fairtrade cocktails.
Science + Industry in Manchester has launched a menu of Fairtrade cocktails ahead of Fairtrade Fortnight
Science + Industry will launch the drinks list in support of Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs 4-16 March, and the She Deserves campaign – a drive to promote living wages for women who work on cocoa farms in Africa.
Throughout Fairtrade Fortnight, Science + Industry will serve up the menu of Fairtrade signature serves, including the Chancery Lane Cocktail, described as a twist on the Espresso Martini and made using Fair Café liqueur.
The menu also features the Little Richard, which is made with Fair Organic Quinoa Vodka and house-made citrus sherbet; and the Wood & Stone, which uses Fair Cacao to create a lower-ABV serve described as “crisp, refreshing and full of flavour”.
Each cocktail on the Fairtrade menu is priced at £8.50, with £1 from the sale of each drink donated to ASOMART – the ‘Asociacion de Mujeres Artesana’, which translates as the association of women craft-workers.
