Sir Edmond Gin reaffirms support for conservation

Dutch gin Sir Edmond has renewed its financial support for the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) as part of a long-term commitment to the charity.

The continued collaboration enhances AWF’s mission to safeguard critical biodiversity areas, empower community-led conservation initiatives, and protect Africa’s natural heritage.

Lotte Dekker, commercial manager at Sir Edmond Gin, explained: “Sir Edmond Gin is committed to giving back to the environment.

“With every bottle sold, we support the AWF, a charity dedicated to preserving wildlife, restoring habitats, and empowering local communities across Africa. Grateful for the richness they provide, we give back.”

The brand’s contribution is recognised for providing essential, flexible resources that empower the organisation to address urgent challenges, including habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and poaching.

Furthermore, according to AWF’s official acknowledgement, support from Sir Edmond Gin enhances the foundation’s capacity to work with African communities, local institutions, and governments to protect wildlife and natural spaces across the continent.

Andrea Athanas, vice-president of enterprise and investment at AWF, said: “This vital work would not be possible without partners like Sir Edmond BV.

“Their continued support strengthens our ability to protect biodiversity and build a future where people and wildlife can flourish together.”

Established in 1961, the AWF is the premier conservation organisation focused exclusively on Africa.

Sir Edmond Gin was launched in 2016 and is made with bourbon vanilla from the island of La Réunion in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar.

The brand is available in more than 25 global markets, including Cyprus, the CaribbeanTaiwan, and travel retail. Sir Edmond is seeking investors to support its expansion into a new market.

Last month, the gin brand welcomed Jekaterina Stuģe, former CEO of Amber Beverage Group, as its global brand agent.
