Peddlers lands Ocado listing
Chinese gin Peddlers is now available on British e-commerce platform Ocado through its partnership with Amber Beverage UK (ABUK).
Ocado is a joint venture between Ocado Group and British supermarket chain Marks & Spencer (M&S).
“We’re very happy to be growing our UK footprint with trusted partners like Ocado,” said Rio Liu, Peddlers’ chief commercial officer (CCO). “Our mission is to bring quality Chinese craft spirits to the UK, and this helps us to do that.”
Co-founder Liu took on the role of CCO in August this year, with a mission to expand the brand’s presence across Asia.
Liu and Fergus Woodward founded Peddlers in a garage in Shanghai in 2018. The brand is now China’s number-one exported gin.
It is made with organic botanicals that are foraged from locations such as Sichuan, Yunnan and Gansu for a distinctively ‘Eastern flavour’. The Peddlers portfolio comprises Shanghai Gin, Barrel Aged Gin, and Salted Plum Gin.
Other ABUK brands listed on Ocado include Stoli Vodka, Arran Scotch whisky, and Flor de Caña Rum.
