With the launch of Licor 43, Monika Alcobev is said to reaffirm its commitment to bringing global brands to India. The company specialises in representing premium spirits and wines throughout the country, from upscale cocktail bars to retail shelves, making it ‘the perfect partner’ for Zamora Company.

Monika Alcobev has a strong presence in North and West India, and its extensive distribution network in South India, covering Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, will ensure that Licor 43 reaches premium retail stores and regions.

Kunal Patel, Managing Director of Monika Alcobev, said: “Bringing Licor 43 to India is a significant milestone, not just for us, but for the evolving palate of Indian consumers. The brand is iconic, versatile, and crafted for modern mixology, and we’re excited to lead its debut in the Indian market.”

Launched more than 70 years ago, the Spanish liqueur is crafted with a blend of 43 natural ingredients, including selected botanicals, spices, and citrus fruits. Today, Licor 43 is available in more than 80 countries worldwide.

Alongside the classic Licor 43, India will also be able to savour the brand’s chocolate and crème brûlée variants. The launch to the Indian market also introduces two of the brand’s signature serves: Mini Beer and Carajillo 43.

The Spanish liqueur is now available in Goa and Mumbai, with more markets set to follow soon.

In addition to Licor 43, Zamora Company’s other products, Martin Miller’s Gin, as well as Villa Massa Limoncello and Amaretto, will also be available in India through Monika Alcobev.

Ankit Shah, area director of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa at Zamora Company, commented on the partnership: “We at Zamora Company are excited to announce our partnership with Monika Alcobev, marking a significant milestone in our global expansion, led by our flagship brand, Licor 43.

“The imported spirits market in India is steadily growing, driven by a rise in disposable incomes and a strong consumer trend of premiumisation, and we are confident that this partnership, backed by Monika’s robust portfolio, will allow us to connect with discerning consumers seeking unique and high-quality products.”

In 2024, Madrid-based Zamora Company saw its net profits rise by 9.8%.
