Glasgow extends cocktail week
By Miona MadsenThe annual cocktail festival in Glasgow is returning this year with an extended programme that lasts 14 days.

Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight – previously known as Glasgow Cocktail Week – will take place from 25 September to 8 October this year, featuring cocktail experiences, parties, and exclusive menus.
First held in 2018, the independently organised celebration has grown each year. The longer format was chosen to safeguard the event, support Glasgow’s vibrant hospitality scene, and create high-quality cocktail experiences.
More than 50 participating venues across the city will participate. Wristband holders receive £2 (US$2.70) off every drink on the festival menu, with a wristband costing £5 (US$6.70).
Organiser Nicola Gemmell-Moir said: “This festival was created with love for the city and its bars, and we’re proud to have grown it into one of Glasgow’s most exciting events. Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight is focused on delivering our biggest programme yet. We’ve always been about collaboration, community, and showcasing the amazing drinks scene here, and this year’s festival will be a true celebration of that.
“We’d like to thank all our supporters – LVMH, William Grant, Bacardi, Loch Lomond Group and Edrington, the public and the city’s best bars – for their continued support. We can’t wait to roll out Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight with more than 55 venues this year, including Kelvingrove Café, Absent Ear, The Gate, Sebb’s, Locale, Devil of Brooklyn, Champagne Central and many more.
“Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just love a good night out, Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight is your ticket to sip, celebrate and discover.”
Festival-goers can dive deeper with two Saturdays of interactive masterclasses at Vega’s new horseshoe bar. Highlights include sessions on the St-Germain Spritz or the TikTok-famous Dirty Spritz, as well as rum, whisky and Tequila workshops. A Ben Lomond Gin masterclass exploring Negronis, Gin Fizzes, and Brambles.
Other events include an exclusive masterclass on beauty, bubbles, and botanicals at Saints of Ingram on Sunday 5 October. Additionally, the festival will host a Drag cocktail class for the first time on Friday 27 September at the Corset Club.
Tickets for the masterclasses are available for £10 (US$13.50).
