Jameson celebrates Women’s Euros

Pernod Ricard-owned Irish whiskey Jameson has collaborated on a trio of football jerseys for the upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 tournament.

For the jerseys, Jameson has teamed up with creative agency Lover’s FC, where ‘fashion and football collide’, and the Goalposts League, an inclusive LGBTQ+ and women’s grassroots five- and seven-a-side football community organisation.

The three kits and their designs are said to be inspired by the ‘what is’, ‘what was’ and ‘what could have been’ and pay homage to the German team that won the women’s Euros in 2005 (who wore one of the first specifically designed female-fitting football shirts), past England teams and Ireland, even though they did not qualify for this year’s tournament.

The Union of European Football Associations’ (UEFA) Women’s Euro 2025 is set to take place in Switzerland this summer from 2-27 July.

Julia Massies, managing director for Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Jameson has fully embedded itself within the world of football, from its long-standing partnership with the English Football League, to its past campaigns supporting grassroots women’s football with both The Goalposts League and Lovers FC.

“Everything we do is reflective of what the sport ultimately represents, community. It was a pleasure to collaborate once again and shine a light on the talent within female sport.”

To support the launch of the jerseys, founder of the Goalposts League, Shameek Farrell, stylist and Romance FC player Bianca Zehra and Jazmyn Tyne, star player for Sonder FC, did a photoshoot by the beach in Blackpool, which was one of the host cities for the tournament’s edition in 2005.

Tyne added: “It’s been amazing to be a part of the Goalposts League. It’s given me a real sense of belonging and community… It’s not always easy to find space in football that isn’t dominated by men.

“It’s made me feel like I have a place in the sport, supported and surrounded by a community of like-minded people who celebrate and uphold each other.

“I was delighted to be asked to feature in this collaboration with Jameson and Lovers FC, to celebrate what should be another momentous summer of women’s football!”

The collection can be picked up exclusively from Jameson’s merchandise website.

The three jerseys – Total Éire (Ireland), Noughties Roses (England), Deutsche Vibes (Germany) – each retail for £45 (US$60).

In Jameson’s other football-related plays the brand is the official whiskey of Major League Soccer.
