Headline activations will be held at London’s The George pub and The London Edition hotel, Manchester’s Salmon of Knowledge, and Glasgow’s Sebb’s.

Festivities will kick off on 14 March at The George in Fitzrovia and last until the big day itself on 17 March. For the weekend, the pub will host live Irish music, an Ireland-themed pub quiz hosted by comedian Peter Flanagan, and live streams of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Six Nations finals, which will see Ireland play Italy.

Food will be in keeping with the theme, including fillet rolls and native oysters, while Irish Coffees made with Glendalough’s Double Barrel Whiskey will be flowing. The bar’s signature serve features freshly made Origin coffee, cream, and a homemade Guinness reduction.

On St Patrick’s Day itself, The George will give away 100 free Irish Coffees on a first-come-first-served basis.

Meanwhile, at The London Edition, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Jonbers Blonde will host a three-course lunch and show ‘celebrating the best of Irish cuisine and culture’, including drag performances, poetry, a Sinead O’Connor sing-along, and a traditional Irish dancing troupe.

Nick Gillett, managing director of Mangrove, said: “Glendalough Distillery is an exceptional example of an Irish drinks’ portfolio enjoying global success. And the feather in its cap, Glendalough Irish Whiskey, is the only choice of tipple to celebrate with this St Patrick’s Day.

“Whether you’re celebrating at The George, The London Edition, Salmon of Knowledge, Sebb’s or elsewhere – the sheer determination and creativity of our industry deserves to be recognised. So, toast the trade with a glass of Glendalough Irish Whiskey in hand – rooted in Ireland, raised for St. Patrick’s Day. Sláinte!”

Earlier this week, we asked distillers how they’re celebrating St Patrick’s Day.
