The launch in Singapore marks the first step in Cygnet’s ambitious global expansion plan, following a year of growth in the UK.

Cygnet’s expansion into Singapore follows the appointment of Matteo Fantacchiotti, the former global CEO of Campari Group, as partner and chairman of the board in December 2024.

He is expected to strengthen the brand’s position as a leader in the global luxury gin sector.

Fantacchiotti commented: “We are delighted to launch Cygnet in Singapore, a place I proudly called home for a decade. Singapore’s vibrant luxury on-trade scene makes it the perfect city to introduce Cygnet, a gin that embodies craftsmanship, quality, and innovation.

“This launch marks the first step in our 2025 City Strategy — following the footsteps of luxury consumers and bringing Cygnet to key global capitals. I look forward to seeing Cygnet elevate the gin experience in this dynamic and discerning market.”

The brand’s official Singapore debut took place during the Great in the Gardens concert on 8 March at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Hosted by the British High Commission and the Tanglin Symphony Orchestra, guests enjoyed Cygnet 22 gin and tonics at the Cygnet Bar in Orchard Plaza, Botanic Gardens. The evening featured a classical music performance, headlined by Jenkins.

Singapore is the first of many new markets as Cygnet anticipates entering more global capitals.

Year of growth

In 2024, the brand secured listings in some of London’s iconic bars and restaurants, including Gaucho, Lavo, and Sexy Fish. Additionally, it expanded distribution in UK retail with listings with Fortnum & Mason and M&S.

Cygnet Gin was launched in 2023 by Jenkins and artist and social-impact filmmaker Andrew Levitas to ‘redefine the gin category’.

One of the brand’s expressions, Cygnet 22, is made with its botanical Manuka honey. After relying on Manuka honey for its throat-soothing benefits, Jenkins collaborated with Cygnet’s sixth-generation distilling team to create a spirit that ’embodies quality and elegance.’

Jenkins said: “I wanted to create something you can enjoy neat, without having to disguise it behind sugary additions — a gin that speaks for itself.”

In January 2025, the brand’s production moved to Penderyn Copperworks Distillery in Swansea.
