Old Forester brings back pair of whiskeys
By Ted SimmonsBrown-Forman’s Old Forester has brought two popular bottlings back this month in limited capacities.

Old Forester 1924 was available from 7 January, while Old Forester 1910 Extra Old was rereleased yesterday (22 January).
1924 debuted in January 2024 and sold out in a matter of weeks. It is matured for 10 years, bottled at 50% ABV, and made from a mashbill of 79% corn, 11% rye and 10% malted barley. It is one of five expressions in the Whiskey Row Series and is priced at US$120.
“Old Forester 1924 quickly became a consumer favourite of our beloved Whiskey Row Series,” said assistant master distiller Caleb Trigo. “We are glad to see it return to stores, bars and restaurants across America.”
Meanwhile, 1910 Extra Old returns after an almost three-year hiatus. Part of Old Forester’s 117 Series, the whiskey is aged in a secondary barrel for an additional 18 months, resulting in pronounced caramel notes. 1910 Extra Old is bottled at 46.5% ABV and priced at US$65 for a 375ml bottle. The whiskey was first released in February 2022 as the third instalment in the 117 Series.
“Our 117 Series is focused on innovation and gives us a chance to blend our longstanding values with a contemporary vision. This expression showcases the exceptional quality that can come from this experimentation,” said master taster Melissa Rift. “Whisky lovers will be able to taste the history captured in this bottle.”
A limited quantity was available at the Old Forester Distillery from 10am EST on 22 January, and is available for shipping in states where it is legal.
