Campari to open UK’s first permanent Negroni bar
By Lauren BowesItalian apéritif Campari will open a Negroni bar inside The Alchemist Monument in London in February, with six variations of the classic on offer, plus a Campari mini print vending machine.

The new permanent Negroni bar sits within The Alchemist site, which will open on 6 February. It is the fifth London site in the group’s portfolio.
The interiors of the Negroni Bar by Campari will draw on the Italian brand’s rich heritage and design, with red lighting and tinted mirrors reflecting the ‘iconic’ colour of the bitter liqueur.

To add to the experience, the bar will feature a Campari vending machine that dispenses bespoke mini prints featuring hero serves and the brand’s products. The first 1,000 guests to purchase a Campari serve at the Negroni Bar will receive a token to print the designs.
The bar will offer six Negroni variations: a classic, a barrel-aged, Paradiso, Pressurised Negroni, a Negroni Sour, and a non-alcoholic version, as well as a Campari Spritz.
Simon Potts, CEO of The Alchemist, said: “We’re excited to unveil The Alchemist Monument, our newest site in the vibrant City of London.
“Opening in such a dynamic location allows us to engage with a high volume of both locals and visitors alike, and the introduction of the Negroni Bar by Campari is a significant milestone for us.
“It’s a bold, vibrant space that celebrates the artistry and heritage of one of the world’s most iconic cocktails, and we’re proud to establish The Alchemist as a home of Campari in the UK.”
Outside of the Campari space, The Alchemist will offer its signature creations including the Smokey Old Fashioned and the Tequila Pop-Sicle, as well as a selection of low- and no-alcohol options.
The food offering will include chicken and waffles, bao buns and ‘smoking boards’.
The site has two levels with capacity for 115 covers.
