Salonica Bar Show makes its debut
The first Salonica Bar Week and Salonica Bar Show will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 29 September to 4 October 2024.
Since 2010, the Athens Bar Show has been a key event for the spirits and bartending industry in Greece.
This year, from 29 September to 4 October, the corresponding events, experiences, and vibe will be ‘transferred’ to Thessaloniki with the organisation of the Salonica Bar Show and Salonica Bar Week for the first time.
Leading professionals, companies and some of the world’s top bars will exhibit, present and celebrate at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) throughout the city.
Salonica Bar Week’s opening party will be hosted at the TIF Helexpo exhibition and congress centre on Sunday 29 September.
The exhibition centre will also host the main event, Salonica Bar Show, from 12pm to 9pm on Monday 30 September.
In its inaugural year, the show will feature more than 40 exhibitors, including global spirits producers and local brands, as well as more than 10 seminars and masterclasses.
Tickets for the show are now available on the event’s website.
Mataroa Mediterranean Gin will celebrate the bar week with 10 guest shifts – from London’s Tayēr + Elementary, Lisbon’s Red Frog, Copenhagen’s Ruby and more – in local bars such as Hive2o, Thermaikos Bar and Gorilla.
Earlier this year, Mataroa Gin joined forces with Baba Au Rum at The Romanos resort in Costa Navarino and hosted a guest shift in Patrick’s Kafé in Italy.
