Mataroa heads to Athens Bar Show

Greek brand Mataroa Mediterranean Dry Gin will showcase signature cocktails made by bartenders from across the world at the Athens Bar Show this week.

The two-day Athens Bar Show will kick off tomorrow (7 November) at the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens.

At stand 311, Mataroa will host bartenders and bar managers from Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Albania, who will use the gin as the base for signature cocktails.

On the first day of the show, Mataroa will host Giannis Dramanidis of Kerouac (Greece), Panayiotis Savva of Sunmoon (Cyprus), Fabrizio Ianniello of Botanical (Italy), Eva Fragkou of Hams & Clams (Greece), Dimitris Baousis of Bittersweet (Greece), Antonio Tittoni of Depero Club (Italy), Chris Gkolfis of Theosis (Greece), and Alexandros Seretis of Li Tseri (Greece).

The following day will include bartenders Nathalie Behr of Three Birds (Cyprus), Dimitris Kiriakou of Sousami (Greece), Tito Karipidis of Mple Papagalos (Greece), Riccardo Carli of Jeffer (Italy) Vasilis Sgouromallis of Liquid Elements (Greece), Sofoklis Cali and Evis Cali of Nouvelle Vague (Albania), and Klearhos Livaditis of Aquarella (Greece).

The gin will also be one of the spirits featured at The Great Tuesday Club event on 7 November as part of Athens Bar Show.

The event will see bartenders from the Four Seasons Hotels create 18 signature cocktails, inspired by six cities.

Last month, Mataroa signed a distribution deal with Onesti Group in Italy.

Mataroa hosted four bartender guest shifts at Italy’s Roma Bar Show in May.
