Miami Rum Congress 2025 tickets go on presale
By Miona MadsenEvent organiser The Rum Lab has opened its ticket presale for the 2025 Miami Rum Congress and Festival (MRC), which will take place from 31 January to 2 February.

In 2025, the MRC will gather rum experts and enthusiasts worldwide for a weekend-long event at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The event will showcase a curated selection of more than 85 premium rum brands, such as Bacardí, Botran, Santa Teresa, and Barbancourt, to explore and learn more about the spirit and the industry.
Around 200 distinct rum expressions will be available for sampling, either neat or in a twisted Daiquiri in the Daiquirí Mania. The new dynamic aims to turn the classic beverage into a ‘disruptive tasting sipping experience’.
Federico J Hernández, founder of The Rum Lab, said: “Our main goal is to elevate the rum category through premiumisation and rum education.”
The event will be divided into three days and offer different experiences, such as tasting, learning, and networking. In addition to entry tickets, the event’s Grand Tastings on Saturday 1 February will require booking.
The Congress will be held in the Art Deco rooms at the convention centre on Friday 31 January in English and on Saturday 1 February in Spanish.
On Sunday 2 February, activities include a poolside session and a bartending contest.
Furthermore, the weekend event will be enhanced with the participation of two influential rum experts: Matt Pietrek, rum historian and founder of the Rum Wonk and Cocktail Wonk websites, and Jay Cocorullo, president of the Florida Rum Society.
Both will bring their approaches and visions of the industry and the lessons they’ve learned in the path of rum.
Miami-Dade Country is the largest rum consumer market in the US and represents more than 2.4 million cases of rum sold annually.
Last month, The Rum Lab hosted its ninth annual San Francisco Rum Festival and its third edition of the Los Angeles Rum Festival.
