Bar Les Ambassadeurs debuts summer cocktail menu
Paris-based Bar Les Ambassadeurs, situated in Hôtel de Crillon, is set to debut its latest cocktail list inspired by the ingredients of a summer harvest in France.
The menu will launch on 15 July and is the third chapter of the bar’s ‘A Sense of Taste, Summer Harvest’ series that is based around the four seasons.
The idea of the series is to showcase each season through ingredient-led cocktails and the new menu brings summer ingredients such as pitted fruits, herbs, and berries, to the fore.
Developed by bar manager Kevin Rigault and his team, highlights see summer berry-flavoured serves such as the Blackcurrant (a twist on an Espresso Martini with blackcurrant cassis, Tequila and coffee), and the Raspberry, which is akin to an Americano with Campari, raspberry, Mancino Chinato, almond, verjus and London Essence tonic – and can also be ordered as a non-alcoholic drink with Seedlip.
On the savoury side there is the Bell Pepper (like a Spicy Margarita), while those seeking sweeter options can opt for Peach, a ‘sparkling take on a peach iced tea’, and Melon, which brings together Casamigos Tequila, olive oil, Manzanilla Sherry, white Port, citrus and melon soda.
Other cocktails on the list of 15 include the herbal Mint, an ‘elevated’ Grasshopper with Michter’s Bourbon, mint, white cacao, hazelnut and clarified milk, and the Tarragon, which is described as ‘sophisticated and refined’ through the use of Roku Gin, basil, Mancino Secco and Amontillado Sherry.
In addition, the menu features visual illustrations of each cocktail that have been generated through artificial intelligence.
Bar Les Ambassadeurs, located within Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel that overlooks the Place de la Concorde city square in Paris, was recently nominated for Best International Hotel Bar – Europe at the 2024 Spirited Awards.
Other international bars that have also recently revamped their cocktail offers include Tokyo Confidential in Japan and Sastrería Martinez in Peru.
