Lecce Cocktail Week to return in June
The second edition of Lecce Cocktail Week (LCW) will take place in the south of Italy from 10 to 16 June.
The week-long celebration brings together some of Lecce’s best bars, alongside leading drink brands.
This year’s edition will host masterclasses, bar takeovers, parties and DJ sets over the week, as well as the return of LCW’s 1930s-themed speakeasy, The Library, which overlooks Piazza Sant’Oronzo.
Participating bars in the city will showcase cocktail menus made specially for the week, ‘offering guests a taste of the city’s diverse and innovative mixology’.
LCW founders Francesca Cullen and Rosie Lees said: “We received such an incredible response to the first edition, and we are thrilled to bring back Lecce Cocktail Week with even more to offer this year.
“It’s a testament to the level of mixology and the cocktail culture in Lecce, as well as the support we’ve received from both the local community and international participants. The south of Italy can sometimes be overlooked so we are excited to shine a light once again on the incredible talent of Leccese bartenders and the hospitality industry.”
Last year’s inaugural showing in May saw 33 bars take part, alongside 20 drinks sponsors. Bars such as London’s Kol Mezcaleria, Barcelona’s Dr Stravinsky and Milan’s Niks & Co also flew over for guest shifts.
Leece Cocktail Week 2023 won Best Event at The Spirits Business Awards last year.
