The 46.3% ABV whiskey is the first small batch creation for the brand.

“It’s with great pride that today we reveal The Busker’s new small batch whiskey addition,” said master blender Caroline Martin, who took up the role in 2021.

“The batch is an exquisite example of single-pot whiskey perfection, showcasing The Busker’s opulent flavours that are full-bodied, bold, powerful and well-rounded.

“Selected at my discretion, the small batch has been matured in first-fill Bourbon casks and then expertly finished in oloroso Sherry European oak butts.

“This careful process has produced a whiskey that is richly aromatic and has tasting notes of leathery tobacco, soft lingering spice and sumptuous autumnal fruits – figs, sultanas, prunes and damsons, bound together with exquisite caramelised balsamic tones. Resinous notes of distinguished oak and fragrant sandalwood create an elegant, smooth finish.”

Martin was crowned Blender of the Year by The Spirits Business in 2019 for her role with Roe & Co Distillery.

A 700ml bottle of The Busker Small Batch Single Pot Still will be available to buy for £45 (US$56) at select retailers.

The Busker is part of Illva Saronno’s whiskey portfolio. The drinks company entered into the American whiskey category earlier this year.
