Phenomenal Spirits expands European presence

California-based Phenomenal Spirits has launched its RY3 Whiskey and Ron Izalco Rum brands in four European markets.

Phenomenal Spirits has brought its RY3 Whiskey and Ron Izalco Rum brands to Denmark, Germany, Slovenia and Hungary.

The company has partnered with HJ Hansen Vin in Denmark, Haromex Development in Germany, RR Selection in Slovenia and Premirum in Hungary.

Phenomenal Spirits founder and CEO Karthik Sudhir said: “Since we first launched the RY3 Whiskey & Ron Izalco Rum brands in the US just three years ago, the success of both brands has fuelled further expansion to 17 states across the country and provided the launching pad needed to take these two exquisite, super-premium craft brands to the global market.”

The company is also planning to expand into the Asia Pacific region.

Earlier this summer, Barrie Sly joined Phenomenal Spirits as its new international commercial manager.

Based in the UK, Sly will lead the company’s global expansion plans.

Sly has previously worked for drinks producers including Coca-Cola, Heineken, Fentimans, Coors Brewers and Global Brands.

Last month, the company launched RY3 Cask Strength Cigar Series, described as the first range of its kind in the rye whiskey category.
