Phenomenal Spirits debuts rye whiskey line

California-based Phenomenal Spirits has launched RY3 Cask Strength Cigar Series, described as the first range of its kind in the rye whiskey category.

Crafted by master distiller Matt Witzig, expression number one in the series has been finished in three casks — rum, Madeira and naranja (orange) – and then additionally aged in toasted French oak staves.

Witzig commented: “This first expression is extraordinary, setting a high bar for the series expressions to follow. We believe we have something very special that consumers everywhere will enjoy.”

The series is targeted at ‘Bourbon and rye aficionados, cigar enthusiasts and whiskey collectors alike’.

Beyond the triple-cask finish, several more expressions in the series are slated for release between 18-24 month intervals over future years.

The RY3 Cigar Series’ first expression can be purchased online and across various US states for £102.59 (US$124.99).

Sudhir’s “aggressive plans for 2023″ includes new products that “meet untapped consumer demand, distribution growth throughout the US, and global expansion to Asia and additional European markets”.

In June, Phenomenal Spirits expanded its team as the company continues to expand globally.
