Mintis Gin gains Croatia retail listings
Italian gin brand Mintis Gin has secured listings in a number of major retail chains in Croatia through Valentic Drinks.
The gin launched in Croatia earlier in the year and can now be bought in large retail chains such as Müller, Interspar and Kaufland, as well as for business-to-business customers in Metro Cash and Carry.
Stepan Stanek, co-founder of Mintis Gin, said that in spite of the continued desire for flavoured gins, customers “will increasingly prefer 100% natural flavoured gins and not artificially coloured liquids’’.
“Our idea was clear from the beginning, to create a gin that will be full of flavour in colourful bottles, but purely natural. Now we believe that customers will appreciate it even in large retail chains.”
Mintis made its debut in 2021 and has since entered more than 25 countries, with an international footprint including Austria after partnering with In Good Spirits, Italy through GS Distribuzione Italia, and the US through Interbalt Fine Wines & Spirits.
The gin is vegan-friendly and hand-made using Italian mint from Pancalieri. It is distilled in a custom-made vacuum still for eight hours at 60°C. Currently, the brand’s range includes four expressions: Originale, Clementine, Amarena Cherry and Ribena/Blackcurrant.
Mintis made a splash at The Gin Masters 2022 blind-tasting competition when it was awarded two Gold medals for its Amarena and Clementina expressions.
The brand is next at Bar Convent Berlin 2023 in October, where it will present its Serum rum, infused with cocoa, vanilla and toffee.
