Neurita Tequila teams up with Charter Brands

Charter Brands has added Neurita to its portfolio and will oversee the international expansion of the Tequila brand.

Neurita is currently the number-one flavoured Tequila on Amazon, Charter Brands said, and it is also available in celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo’s restaurants.

Furthermore, Neurita’s Citrus Tequila recently won the flavoured Tequila category at the World Tequila Awards.

Matt Ashton-Melia, managing director of Charter Brands, said: “Having seen what’s happened in other white spirit categories, namely vodka and gin, we have no doubt that the trend towards flavoured variants of Tequila will inevitably follow.

“We’ve enjoyed great success with the El Tequileño brand internationally in recent years and so Neurita is a welcome addition to our portfolio, servicing a different segment of the market. Lucy [Smith, founder of Neurita Tequila] typifies the target consumer for Neurita and has a very clear focus on the role the brand can play in the Tequila market.

“Low in sugar, using only natural flavours and developing liquids that are perfectly crafted for margaritas, the UK’s most-searched cocktail, Neurita is already the number one flavoured tequila on Amazon after launching in late 2022.

“We have no doubt that we’ve selected the right partner in realising the opportunity that is plain for all to see.

“Already we’re finalising the first distribution deals for the brand and we’re extremely excited about what we can achieve together in the next five years with this brand.”

Neurita aims to ‘make Tequila mixology more approachable and exciting’.

The brand’s Citrus, and Rosa variants are available to purchase directly from the brand’s website, Master of Malt, Threshers, and Amazon for RRP £29.99 (US$37).
