NIO expands core RTD range

Italian ready-to-drink (RTD) brand NIO Cocktails has added four new serves to its drinks portfolio, including a Dry Martini.

The four new cocktails join NIO’s existing core collection, bringing its signature offering to 28 RTD cocktails, including three alcohol-free alternatives.

The new serves are composed of a Dry Martini, created with Tanqueray gin, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino Dry and Angostura bitters; Tea Sour, crafted with T+ Tea liqueur, citric acid and Toschi liquid sugar, which is designed to ‘lean into British tea-drinking culture’; Disaronno Sour, which offers notes of almonds and apricot kernels; and Strawberry Margarita, made using Tequila blanco, Cointreau, crème de fraise merlet, strawberry syrup and citric acid.

They join NIO’s classic offering, which includes Cosmopolitan, Negroni, Daiquiri, Margarita, and Old Fashioned.

All of NIO’s cocktails are available to purchase on its website in boxes of three (£19.50/US$24.32), six (£39/US$48.65) or nine (£55.00/US$68.61).

Last autumn, the brand teamed up with Rome-based bar Drink Kong to launch an RTD cocktail box. The drinks were crafted by Drink Kong founder Patrick Pistolesi, who helped develop NIO Cocktails in 2017, alongside entrepreneurs Luca Quagliano and Alessandro Palmarin.

The company also recently expanded its global presence, when Los Angeles-based distributor Edge Americas Online opened the first NIO Cocktails retail shop in California.

In addition, the brand partnered with the DFS Group in the travel retail sector and is available at Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, and JFK International Airport in New York as a result.
