NIO Cocktails extends availability

Italian brand NIO Cocktails has expanded its global presence and launched in California in the US.

Los-Angeles-based distributor Edge Americas Online has opened the first NIO Cocktails retail shop in California.

NIO is an acronym for ‘needs ice only’.

“We are very pleased to have signed a licensing agreement with NIO Cocktails, unquestionably number one in the world of innovative and high-quality, ready-to-share cocktails,” said co-founder of Edge Americas Online Jeffrey Whalen.

“I believe that NIO will promote a new cocktail culture with a combination of excellence made in Italy, expert mixology, and novelty.”

Edge Americas Online was founded by Whalen and World Cup football player Alessandro Del Piero.

“We are very happy to kick off NIO Cocktails’ product sales in the United States through this licensing agreement,” commented Del Piero.

The cocktail range will be available for delivery in California, as well as from the in-person store in San Pedro.

Alessandro Palmarin, NIO co-founder, said: “We are thrilled with this collaboration. NIO Cocktails is rapidly expanding across all continents with a collection of quality cocktails perfect for any occasion.

“We are also very focused on our approach to sustainability: each NIO Cocktails pack is fully recyclable.”

The brand also recently partnered with the DFS Group in the travel retail sector and is available at Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, and JFK International Airport in New York as a result.

The Spirits Business recently revealed the RTD Brand Champion of 2022.

Last year, The Spirits Business and The Global Spirits Masters Competitions hosted The RTD & Pre-Mixed Masters, awarding top-performing brands with Silver, Gold and Master medals.
