Baba Au Rum in Athens, Greece, will host L’Antiquario Bar, based in Napoli, Italy, as part of a guest shift.

The event will see the Greek gin brand served in cocktails, namely the Desert Punch. This comprises Mataroa Greek Gin, mint tea, muscovado syrup, orange curaçao, Fernet Branca, and lime.

Other serves on the menu include the Perfect Rabo, which combines aged cachaça, dry vermouth, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, and Cynar; La Gazzetta, which blends verritas, cachaça, honey, orange curacao, grenadine, and lime; and the Watermelon Man, which blends Tequila with mezcal and watermelon.

All cocktails are priced at €10 (US$11) each.

The event will take place tonight from 8pm (EEST), and will see serves produced by cocktail experts Alex Frezza and Augusto Amaral.

In March, the brand revealed it was eyeing international growth, and was ready to increase its global availability beyond its 17 existing markets.

Mataroa MDG claims to be is the number-one-selling Greek premium gin brand in Greece.

It is created at the Melissanidi Distillery in northern Greece, a centennial family business with great tradition in producing ‘delicious spirits with strong character and unique taste’.

In more gin news, actor and film producer Brad Pitt, who owns Château Miraval, recently launched his first gin: The Gardener Gin.
