Solomon has worked with the company since 2016, and previously served as the company’s international chief sales officer.

Since 2020, Solomon has overseen the international commercial growth of the brand, which included introducing Clase Azul México to 20 new international markets.

In his new role, he will spearhead the brand’s global commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s global vision and unifying efforts between teams in the US, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Canada and the Caribbean.

The appointment is part of the brand’s ‘formidable strategy’ to continue sharing ‘the most exquisite aspects of Mexican culture’ through products and experiences.

Arturo Lomelí, Clase Azul Mexico CEO and founder, said: “We are confident that John and his team, guided by the values which make our company unique, will continue to evolve our organisational culture – one of the country’s best and something that has made us a great place to work for several years in a row.

“We are pleased to have John as an integral leader while helping keep us on track to become the first Mexican luxury house.”

Last year, the company opened Clase Azul Los Cabos, a luxury travel experience in Mexico.

The opening was part of the brand’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which saw 9,125 decanters of Clase Azul Tequila 25 Aniversario Limited Edition released in July.

In March, the brand was awarded The Butterfly Mark for a second time, marking its continued commitment to sustainability in the luxury sector.
