Sly Dog Rum now available to Molson Coors customers

Spiced rum brand Sly Dog is now available to Molson Coors customers.

The brand won a Gold medal this year

The agreement coincides with Sly Dog Rum’s second birthday and the brand’s Gold medal win at this year’s Rum & Cachaça Masters blind-tasting competition.

“As a small, family-owned business, we are thrilled to partner with such a respected and established industry leader like Molson Coors,” said Louis Goddard-Watts, founder and CEO of the rum brand.

“We are confident that this partnership will enable us to grow the brand and reach new customers who may not have been able to try our products before.”

With its ‘bold notes and smooth finish’, Sly Dog Rum is recommended mixed with cola or in cocktails such as a Mai Tai, Espresso Martini or Screwdriver. Cocktail recipes can be found on the brand’s website.

According to Sly Dog’s website, the brand sources its rum from a carbon-neutral distillery in the Dominican Republic.

Sly Dog Rum will also be available to sample at the Northern Bar and Restaurant Show this week (14-15 March) in Manchester, UK.

In May 2021, Molson Coors revealed plans to invest US$100 million to boost production of spirits- and malt-based hard seltzers in Canada.

Earlier that year, Molson Coors partnered with Casa Komos Beverage Group to distribute Tequila-based, ready-to-drink cocktail Superbird in the US.
