Gucci launches collector’s cocktail in UK
Luxury fashion house Gucci has released its first collector’s cocktail in partnership with Connaught Bar mixologist Giorgio Bargiani.
The cocktail, Elisir d’Elicriso, has been launched in the UK, and was first presented in Italy last summer to celebrate the newly opened Gucci Giardino 25 bar in Florence.
Bargiani commented: “This collaboration has been an absolute delight and honour. Blending my ever-evolving heritage and passion with the dedication and excellence of the team at Gucci Giardino 25 has allowed us to create something new and visionary in the world of hospitality.
“Elisir d’Elicriso encapsulates the flavours and aromas of our Tuscany, with a touch of faraway allure, for an elegant serve that captivates the palate and the senses. I am very excited to see that this creation is now available in London, my second home.”
The 21%-ABV cocktail is made with Tanqueray No.10 gin, 1757 Vermouth di Torino extra dry, Podere Santa Bianca Liquore No.4, Muyu vetiver gris liqueur, white balsamic vinegar, Podere Santa Bianca Elicriso essential oil, and Guidalberto Tenuta San Guido.
Elisir d’Elicriso is said to have a rich, herbal, and rounded profile coming from the Mediterranean botanicals and apothecary herbs of the Tuscan coast, and its blend of vetiver with the essential oil “Elicriso” (helichrysum italicum), from which the cocktail takes its name.
The cocktail can be served in a number of ways according to personal taste, which is a reflection of Bargiani’s dedication to personalised cocktail experiences.
Recommendations include serving it in a cooled Martini cocktail glass, or chilled on the rocks. It can also be served as a Spritz-style cocktail adding bubbles for a refreshing and sparkling cocktail, or as a long drink by adding soda or tonic water.
The Gucci Giardino 25 cocktail bar is nestled in Piazza della Signoria by Gucci Osteria. Since its 2022 opening, the bar has gained national and international acclaim under the lead of bar manager Martina Bonci.
Gucci Giardino 25 offers an all-day menu with assorted dishes prepared by on-site kitchen staff, and embraces seasonality with ‘a creative, modern twist’.
Elisir d’Elicriso by Giorgio Bargiani for Gucci Giardino 25 can be found on the cocktail menu at Gucci Giardino 25, and is also available for purchase in the form of a pre-mixed version presented in a specially designed 500ml bottle and a deluxe, decorated box at Gucci Giardino 25 and on their website.
It is also available to purchase Europe-wide and in the UK via the Gucci Osteria website, priced at RRP £127 (US$153).
