It is the Indian spirits company’s second million-case brand after Mansion House Brandy.

Tilaknagar said Courrier Napoleon Brandy (CNB) registered ‘significant growth’ in 2023. In its two largest markets, Kerala and Puducherry, the brand recorded more than 40% growth and 88% growth, respectively.

The brandy is sold in Canteen Stores Department and in more than eight states across India, with the brand taking a 15% market share in the ‘prestige’ brandy segment.

The brand also offers a super-premium line extension, called Courrier Napoleon Green Brandy.

Ahmed Rahimtoola, chief marketing officer, Tilakanagar Industries, said: “Growing 49% year-on-year, CNB now joins our flagship brand Mansion House Brandy as the second millionaire brand and is poised to become one of the fastest-growing brandies in the prestige segment.

“We are looking at launching CNB in a few more states and working at further brand extensions.”

Tilaknagar Industries sees ‘huge opportunity’ for brandy in new markets.

The company has released India’s first premium flavoured brandy under its Mansion House brand and revealed Mansion House Reserve French Style Brandy as its premium variant.

In its full-year fiscal results for 2022, the company sold approximately six million Mansion House Brandy cases. In the same period, Mansion House Brandy posted 25% year-on-year growth.
