Mansion House unveils flavoured brandy
By Alice BrookerTilaknagar Industries (TI) has launched India’s first premium flavoured brandy under its Mansion House brand.
The brandy is available in three flavours: Orange, Cherry and Peach.
Premium flavoured brandy is a ‘new segment’ in India, according to the brand.
TI’s chairman and managing director, Amit Dahanukar, said: “Brandy is the second largest product segment under the Indian-made foreign liquor category.
“Flavoured premium brandy is a completely new territory, an untapped market and therefore offers a huge opportunity. This launch will enrich TI’s premium brandy portfolio, which will further strengthen our regional presence and aid expansion across geographies.
“The brandy category continues to lead the company’s growth and our aim is to increase sales by 12-15% annually over the next three to five years.”
The company is aiming to expand its premium brandy offerings, further increase its market share in south India, and drive growth in brandy markets like east and north-east India.
TI claims to be India’s largest premium brandy manufacturer and its brand, Mansion House Brandy, is the country’s highest selling premium brandy.
In its full-year fiscal results for 2022, the company sold approximately 6 million Mansion House Brandy cases. In the same period, Mansion House Brandy posted 25% year-on-year growth.
While the brandy was the biggest-selling brand on the category’s Brand Champions list, published this week (20 June), the company experienced a drop in volume, falling by 6% in 2021 after a decrease in 2020.
