ABG names chief operations officer
Rooster Rojo Tequila owner Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has appointed ex-Stock Spirits executive Ewan MacLean as its new global chief operations officer.
Effective immediately, MacLean will oversee and organise all ABG production and supply chain processes.
He will report to the group’s CEO, Jekaterina Stuģe, and become a member of the ABG executive committee team.
“I’m proud to join the ambitious and dynamic team at Amber Beverage Group and look forward to leading operations through this exciting time of growth for the company,” MacLean said.
MacLean joined ABG from vodka producer Stock Spirits where he was group operations director.
He has more than 40 years of experience in senior executive roles in the food and drink sector.
“Ewan is a highly experienced operations leader and a consummate expert in FMCG [fast-moving consumer goods] manufacturing, transformation programme management and lean production techniques,” said Stuģe.
“He has a proven track record for improving operational, supply chain and commercial performance, increasing profitability and enhancing operational efficiency.
“I believe that Ewan’s significant experience and proven track record in leading supply chain and operational transformation and change will support our drive towards world-class operations performance.”
MacLean has engineering and management qualifications, including an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
In June last year, Luxembourg-based ABG named Ruslan Romanenko as its group chief financial officer.
