Amber Beverage hires new CFO
Luxembourg-based Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has named Ruslan Romanenko as its new group chief financial officer.
Before joining ABG, Romanenko worked as chief financial officer at Ukrainian vodka brand Nemiroff.
He said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed to this key role by Amber Beverage Group.
“This global company, which has operations in several countries, will bring interesting and exciting new challenges where I can use my experience to help drive further growth. I am already enjoying my new environment as this role entailed a move from Kyiv to Riga.
“I am especially proud to join a company that has been offering so much practical and financial support to the people of Ukraine.”
Romanenko has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry.
The news comes as ABG makes adjustments to its team, with an expansion in Mexico revealed last month, as ex-Diageo operations director David Tenorio was hired as managing director of its Tequila distillery.
Plus, Olegs Alainis, who has been with ABG since 2017, was announced as the new managing director of Amber Agave.
Jekaterina Stuģe, chief executive officer of ABG, said: “I warmly welcome Ruslan to our global team and believe that his expertise in running international operations, managing manufacturing accounting, and building strong internal control structures will prove invaluable for our rapidly-growing team.
“With his help, we will be in an even stronger position to reach our goal of becoming one of the top 10 spirits industry players globally.”
Amber Beverage Group recently enjoyed ‘strong’ double-digit growth in its 2021 fiscal year as Tequila sales soared.
