Black Cow teams up with Virgin Atlantic
British vodka brand Black Cow has partnered with Virgin Atlantic to offer an exclusive festive serve on select long-haul flights over Christmas.
The airline will be offering passengers in its Upper Class cabins a complimentary serve called A Sparkling Christmas, which will be available on flights from London to US, the Caribbean and South Africa from 24-26 December.
The serve has been created using Black Cow’s Christmas Spirit topped with Champagne.
“Partnering with Virgin Atlantic marks an important moment in our brand’s history,” said Black Cow co-founder Paul ‘Archie’ Archard. “We can’t wait to spread the Christmas spirit with our special festive serve on-board Virgin Atlantic’s flights this Christmas.
“As many look forward to their holidays or to be with their loved ones over the festive period, it’s a great privilege to be part of their Christmas celebrations by providing passengers with a chance to try our delicious Christmas Spirit and share our story around the world.”
Black Cow Christmas Spirit, which launched for the first time in November 2020, takes its inspiration from the ‘quintessential’ Christmas pudding. It is made with citrus, cloves, cinnamon, figs, currants, raisins and vanilla all macerated in Black Cow vodka.
The result is a rich amber spirit packed with an elegant, festive spice flavour. It offers a smooth and rich mouthfeel, with hints of orange, almond and vanilla and undertones of cinnamon and ginger on the palate.
Black Cow Christmas Spirit has been designed to be served as a Champagne Cocktail, or as the base of a mulled drink served with warmed apple juice.
The limited edition release is said to be the brand’s most successful launch to date, after initially selling out in under two days.
Having now launched for its third consecutive year, Christmas Spirit is currently available to purchase in 500ml bottles on the Black Cow website as well as on Ocado and Selfridges, for RRP £25 (US$30.50).
