Patrón teams up with Tom Sellers
Tequila brand Patrón has partnered with Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers on a sensorial experience in London to mark Paloma Week.
Sellers, chef patron of two Michelin-starred Restaurant Story in London, has teamed up with the Bacardi-owned Tequila brand for an evening of Paloma cocktails and a four-course feast.
The experience, called The Feast of Colour, will be held at Vintry & Mercer Rooftop, in London, from 6.30pm-10.30pm on 26 July.
The rooftop venue will be transformed into a ‘sunset utopia’, celebrating the flavours and colours of the Paloma cocktail.
The event will aim to provide a ‘feast for all the senses’ and transport guests to Patrón’s home in Jalisco, Mexico.
Claire Presland, brand director for Europe, said: “We are proud to work with Tom Sellers, whose pursuit of perfection has led to two Michelin stars and a global reputation as a pioneer in his field.
“Tom is a passionate storyteller whose menus transport guests to another place and time, making him the perfect partner to help us celebrate the summer of the Paloma with The Feast of Colour.”
Inspired by a Mexican sunset, the dishes have been designed to be paired with a Paloma cocktail on a warm summer’s evening.
Each Paloma is made with Patrón Reposado, which offers notes of fresh agave, fruit citrus and honey.
The food offering includes a compressed melon and caviar dish with a Tequila gel, a butter-poached cod with citrus vierge and grapefruit sabayon for the main course, and an almond, butter and dill dessert.
Sellers added: “Inspired by the tastes, hues, and aromas of the iconic Patrón Paloma, The Feast of Colour will tell the story of summer by using seasonal British ingredients to elevate the cocktail into an immersive occasion.
“Meticulous craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do at our Restaurant Story, and we’ve brought this same commitment and passion to celebrate Patrón Paloma Week.”
Tickets for The Feast of Colour are available from Eventbrite, priced at £40 (US$47) per person.
Patrón revealed its inaugural Patron Week last August, partnering with bars across the UK to offer free cocktails.
The brand recently revealed its third collaborative product with crystal decanter maker Lalique ahead of National Tequila Day (24 July).
