Jack Daniel’s to release Coca-Cola RTD

Brown-Forman has partnered with Coca-Cola to debut a ready-to-drink (RTD) Jack Daniel’s and Cola in a can.

The canned RTD clocks in at 5% ABV

The canned offering is inspired by the classic cocktail of whiskey and cola, and will initially launch in Mexico later this year.

“This relationship brings together two classic American icons to deliver consumers a taste experience they love in a way that is consistent, convenient, and portable,” said Lawson Whiting, chief executive officer and president of Brown-Forman.

“Brown-Forman has been a leader in the ready-to-drink category since we launched our first Jack Daniel’s RTD more than 30 years ago. Coca-Cola perfectly complements Jack Daniel’s and our existing RTD offerings, enabling us to accelerate expansion and continue to grow our business around the world.”

A zero-sugar iteration of the RTD will also be available, with both RTDS clocking in at 5% ABV.

“We keep consumers at the centre of everything we do as we continue to develop our portfolio as a total beverage company, and that includes new products with our iconic Coca-Cola brand,” said James Quincey, chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company.

“We are excited about our new relationship with Brown-Forman and look forward to the introduction of Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola.”

Earlier this month, Brown-Forman saw organic net sales increase by 17% in its 2022 fiscal year, led by the resurgence of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, a brand which climbed by 23% as consumers returned to the on-trade.

In April, Brown-Forman appointed David Rodiek as its new vice-president, managing director, global travel retail. It has recently made changes to its executive leadership team to boost brand-building and growth.
